Behind the Lens

When I was little I would play house and school. Years later, I became a teacher, wife and a mother. The years between were filled with laugher, risks, adventure and joy! I have been blessed with a supportive family, deep friendships and a faithful husband. I married a country-boy and am the mom of the sweetest, laid back kids. Photography is my passion. I have close to ten years of photography experience. I love expanding my creativity in my sessions & I look forward to working with you and your family!

I am a former middle school teacher, Young Life leader and for the last 9 years have taken on the full time job as a stay-at-home momma of three sweet kiddos and one heaven baby. I love the south, front porch swings, sweet tea, my very worn Chaco sandals, family, antiquing, blue mason jars, fishing off the boat, hot coffee, cuddling and reading books to my kiddos, journaling, side-splitting laughter, dancing at weddings, surfing at the beach, anything artistic, a good road trip, napping on Sunday’s (wait, what’s a nap?! I have kids!), being my kids’ class room mom and photography!!! My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

My Grandfather

To the man who always saw the best in me. He lived a life of generosity and kindness. He questioned deeply and invited open dialogue about life's biggest topics. He loved extravagantly and strangers became friends. He believed in me and I will always be grateful for him.
